The  Running  Race

Once  upon  a  time,  there  lived  two  boys  named  Charan  and  Sathish. Charan  was  honest  and  helpful. Sathish was  dishonest  and  cruel. They  both  participated in  all  competitions  and  Charan  came  first  in  all  and  Sathish  came  second. There  was  a  running  race  competition  and  the  two  friends participated. Before  the  day of  the  race, Sathish  thought  ''Charan  is  winning  in  all  the  races  this  time  I will  win  by a plan.

The  next  day  before the  race  started, Sathish  kept  a stone in Charan's  line. When  the  race  started, everybody  began  to  run  and  Charan  was  running  first  and  Sathish  was  running  second.

When  Charan  came  near  the  stone  he  didn't  look  down  and  fell  down.  Sathish  smiled  cunningly  to  this  and  won  the  race. Charan somehow  managed  to  run  and  came  second.

Sathish  got  the  medal  and  the  principal  announced  that a  international  running  event  will  be  conducted  after  two  weeks. Sathish, Charan  and  some  more  students  had  been  selected.

Sathish  decided  to  make a  deceitful  plan  again, but  he  forgot. Charan practised  hard  to  run with his injured leg and succeeded.

On the day of the race, when the race started, Charan was once again running first and won the race because of his hard work. Sathish came last because he did not practise. Sathish lost because he cheated. Charan got the medal and he was very happy. Sathish was sad because he lost.

  1. Arjun - I absolutely loved the way you have introduced the characters and liked the moral of this story. You're right in saying nothing is gained by cheating. Keep writing. I am your fan and hope you know it by now :)
